Stephen Ministry

The Stephen Ministry organizes lay people to provide one-to-one Christian care to hurting people in and around our congregation.  Care may be given to, but is not limited to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, and others facing some kind of crisis or life challenge.  Stephen Ministry provides quality care for as long as care receivers need it.  People who need care receive quality, Christ-centered, confidential care for their hurts and needs.  Care receivers find hope, healing, and a new sense of self-worth through the support of a Stephen Minister.  Through regularly-scheduled meetings, care receivers continue their relationship with their Stephen Minister long after the onset of the initial crisis -- when many times others have forgotten about them.

To find out more about how you can be involved in Stephen Ministry, you can contact Ray or Betty Faye Carter (539-4595).  If you are interested in receiving care from a Stephen Minister, please contact Rev. Kelly Clem at the church office (534-8865).
